Class of 2025
Why UCI?
I chose UCI because I was impressed by the residents' involvement in the community. I was looking to be trained in a program that would foster a learning environment in which I would feel supported by my coresidents and faculty, and would feel comfortable asking questions. Here at UCI I have definitely felt this support. I was excited to learn that our continuity clinic is a FQHC, and that it serves a large monolingual Hispanic population. As a bicultural and bilingual native Spanish-speaking physician, I will ensure to provide them with the high quality patient care they deserve. Also, during my interview trail, the residents always seemed happy and fun, and now that I am part of it, I have felt so welcome, formed close relationships with my co-residents, and I constantly feel surrounded by positive energy!
