In Orange County there are more than 450,000 people at risk of going hungry each month, including children, seniors living on fixed incomes, people with disabilities, and those without homes.
UCI Family Health Center, Santa Ana and the 2nd Harvest Food Bank of Orange have a partnership to provide groceries including fresh produce to 220 families the first Saturday of every month—a fun way to give back to the community we serve. Patients in need seen at our clinic in Santa Ana can receive a "front-of-the-line prescription" from their physician to attend!

The UCI Outreach Clinic is an organization committed to delivering high quality medical care to individuals who have limited access to health services and insurance in Orange County.
Clinic operations are completely run and supported by students under the guidance of our medical director, Dr. Baotran Vo, a UCI Health expert in family medicine and UCI Family Medicine residents. We aim to provide a collaborative and respectful environment where patients, health professionals and students work together and learn from one another.
UC Irvine student volunteers represent a broad range of studies, including medical and nursing as well as undergraduate and graduate. At the clinic, student volunteers work in interdisciplinary teams alongside community collaborators and under the supervision of licensed practitioners. Our operations run at the Lestonnac Free Clinic, which is based in the City of Orange and has satellite facilities serving Santa Ana, Tustin and neighboring communities.
We strive to provide comprehensive services to our patients by offering healthcare, wellness education, social services, basic medications, referrals and, if they are eligible, assistance in obtaining healthcare insurance coverage. While we would like to serve everyone, our clinics are intended to catch those who fall between the current healthcare system cracks.
